Our Regional RAI and Restorative Care Specialist will serves as a subject matter expert in the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process and restorative nursing programs across assigned communities. This role leads the strategic implementation and operational excellence of RAI and restorative nursing practices, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, optimizing clinical and financial outcomes, and supporting care team members to perform at the top of their licensure.

Essential Responsibilities:
RAI & Restorative Program Leadership:
Lead regional strategy and execution of the RAI process and restorative nursing programs.
Ensure accurate, timely, and optimized MDS assessments and documentation.
Provide oversight and guidance to MDS nurses and interdisciplinary teams.
Evaluate restorative programs for compliance and effectiveness.
Develop and deliver training and education to support role-specific competencies.
Data & Performance Optimization:
Analyze PPS and case-mix data to forecast trends and mitigate financial risk.
Monitor KPIs and synthesize insights to drive performance improvements.
Collaborate with operations and clinical teams to align data with care delivery.
Compliance & Regulatory Oversight:
Ensure adherence to federal and state regulations related to RAI and restorative nursing.
Conduct audits and assessments to maintain survey readiness.
Partner with compliance and quality teams to uphold standards of care.
Leadership & Collaboration:
Inspire and mentor facility leaders and directors to elevate clinical excellence.
Lead onboarding and development of RAI support roles across the region.
Manage third-party vendor relationships and consultant partnerships.
Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
Innovation & Strategic Impact:
Integrate workflow strategies into software platforms to enhance data extraction and legacy tracking.
Collaborate interprofessionally to innovate care delivery and departmental operations.
Foster a culture of service excellence and continuous improvement.
Skills and Abilities
Advanced knowledge of RAI, MDS, and restorative nursing regulations
Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and clinical documentation systems.
Ability to travel regionally as needed.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Requirements
Nursing degree from an accredited college required.
Valid driver’s license required.
Registered Nurse (RN) license required
Minimum 1 year of experience with RAI process and PPS required.
Experience in long-term care or post-acute care settings preferred.
