Responsibilities

The Circulating Nurse is responsible for coordinating and managing the multidisciplinary activities required to provide a safe environment for patients undergoing surgical intervention.
Assess patient’s physical and psychological needs.
Evaluate and implement appropriate measures to assure a safe recovery from anesthesia.
The OR nurse serves as a patient advocate in the provision of care and is responsible for ensuring patient safety during intra-operative period and with recovery from anesthesia during immediate post op period and with transport to PACU.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing;
Current Nursing License in the State of Kansas.
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
Current ACLS certifications.

Preferred Job Requirements:

Two years of experience.
