This position offers an opportunity to support the health and wellness of K-12 students in a school setting located in Greenville, AL. The role is suited for licensed practical nurses (LPNs) holding a valid Alabama LPN license, with experience in school nursing or related healthcare fields.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care and health services to students across K-12 grades, including those with chronic conditions such as diabetes.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with school personnel and health aides for student supervision and support.
- Maintain accurate health records and comply with school policies.
- Participate in health screenings and emergency response as needed.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Alabama LPN License is required.
- Previous experience as an LPN or LVN in a school environment highly preferred.
- Ability to work effectively with children and adolescents.
- Familiarity with managing pediatric diabetes and other common school health issues.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
