Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Certified Cardiovascular Surgical Technologist at HCA Healthcare, you’ll be a vital part of a highly-skilled team that shares in your passion for cardiac surgery. Your responsibilities will include:

Preparing and organizing the surgical suite with the right instruments, equipment, and supplies to ensure safe, efficient procedures

Scrubbing in and assisting the surgeon by providing instruments, handling specimens, and anticipating the needs of the team

What qualifications you will need:

Graduate from high school or equivalent program required
Completion of Surgical Technologist course required
Surgical Technologist certification required
Minimum of 2 years experience as a Surgical Technologist, in an acute care facility preferred
Current BCLS certification required

Job Summary and Qualifications Position Summary: The Certified Surgical Technologist delivers high quality, patient-centered care by performing various functions to support the efficient operation of the surgical suite. Under the supervision of the Circulating RN, the Certified Surgical Technologist prepares the surgical suite, positions and prepares the patient, and provides instruments, equipment, and supplies to the surgical team during the procedure. The Certified Surgical Technologist ensures a sterile field, proper instrument counts, and proper operation of instruments and equipment. The Certified Surgical Technologist participates in patient-specific care as directed and follows service excellence standards to promote optimum patient satisfaction. Major Responsibilities: Organizes the operating suite with instruments, supplies, and equipment needed for the day. Reviews daily cases to ensure adequate stocking. Ensures proper functioning of equipment/instruments prior to procedures. Creates and maintains an orderly sterile instrument table. Utilizes physician preference cards for efficient setup. Prepares for emergency and add on cases rapidly and effectively. Transports patients to and from surgical suite as needed. Assists in the transfer, positioning, prepping, and draping of patients for surgical procedures in accordance with hospital standards. Performs and/or assists in scrub/gown/glove process for self and team. Park Cities Surgery Center is hiring a Surgical Technologist Welcome to Park Cities Surgery Center We are honored to care for you and your family. Certified Surgical Technologist at Park Cities Surgery Center The Surgical Technologist scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team. Maintains a sterile field during surgical procedures. Prepares supplies, instruments, and equipment related to these procedures. Supports the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center. Supports and participates in quality improvement activities. Qualifications High School Diploma/GED; completion of a Surgical Technician Program and/or equivalent combination of education and experience Plastic and orthopedics experience required Certification as required by state and/or center Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed Must excel in teamwork and possess strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff, engage with patients, and coordinate with physicians Who We Are At USPI, we create relationships that create better care.
