Job Summary and Qualifications

Seeking an experienced NICU Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team of healthcare professionals. In this role you will provide the best possible preventative and supportive intra-operative care to each patient based upon their individual needs and are looking for a team member who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.   • You will assume responsibility for coordinating safe, efficient, and therapeutically effective nursing care for patients’ assigned unit/department
  • You will have responsibilities that include participating in strategic planning, service delivery, program development, evaluation and implementation, budget and resource management, cost control, contract compliance and quality improvement
  • You will support patient safety initiatives and quality improvement activities
  • You may also work as a registered professional in the capacity of Charge RN in addition to being a clinical nurse providing care for patients for an assigned time
  • You will maintain current competency with nursing skills required and demonstrates knowledge regarding Standards of Care and Standards of Practice in the assigned area
  • You will demonstrate knowledge of principles of growth & development over life span, and possesses the ability to assess data reflective of patient status, and to interpret the data appropriately to identify patient requirements specific to the patient’s age

What qualifications you will need:

  • Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing, BSN preferred
  • Current licensure in Nevada as a Registered Nurse
  • Current BLS required
  • Current NRP required
  • S.T.A.B.L.E. within three (3) months of employment
  • Pass Level II Nursery Competency exam with score of 80%
  • Proficiency in newborn care procedures and skills, including assessment and stabilization required
  • Minimum of 2-year recent nursery experience
  • Certification in STABLE preferred
  • Proficiency in the Resuscitation and Stabilization of the Neonate
  • Successful completion of the AAP/AHA Neonatal Resuscitation Program Provider Level
