Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but are not limited to):
- Provide comprehensive care for patients with acute and chronic cardiac conditions.
- Monitor and interpret telemetry and ECG rhythms; respond to arrhythmias promptly.
- Administer cardiac medications, IV drips, and titrate vasoactive agents.
- Assist with procedures such as cardiac catheterization, pacemaker insertion, and stress testing.
- Perform rapid response and ACLS interventions during cardiac emergencies.
- Educate patients and families on cardiac health, recovery plans, and lifestyle changes.
- Collaborate with cardiologists, surgeons, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize care.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Qualifications
Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:
- Current and valid state RN license.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Basic arrhythmia interpretation within 30 days of hire.
- Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintained.
- Previous acute care hospital experience preferred.
- Ventilator management experience preferred.
- Medical-Surgical Nurse-Board Certified (RN-BC) or similar certification preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
