Job duties:

Interviews patients and records their medical history and physical condition.
Obtains patient vital signs, including pulse, blood pressure, temperature, and respiration.
Provides routine care for patients.
Observes patients’ health.
Reviews medical charts.
Accompanies patients to their rooms.
Assists physicians and registered nurses.
Communicates with patients and their families.
Performs standard diagnostic procedures including EKG, phlebotomy, venipuncture, PFT, and Doppler.
Prepares specimens for lab courier.
Administers medications.
Provides wound care.
Prepares and administers injections and/or enemas.
Assists with patient comfort.
Monitors catheters.

Charge Nurse Charge Nurse LPN Responsibilities: Patient Care Management: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals. Monitor and manage patient progress, addressing changes in condition and implementing appropriate interventions. Ensure that all patients receive individualized care based on their needs and preferences. Staff Supervision and Coordination: Supervise and support nursing staff, including Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs). Assign duties and manage work schedules to ensure adequate staffing and coverage. Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to nursing staff, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment. Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with facility policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Conduct regular audits and assessments to maintain high standards of care and identify areas for improvement. Address and resolve patient and family concerns, ensuring satisfaction and effective communication. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes. Charge Nurse Charge Nurse LPN Qualifications: Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution. Licensure: Valid Registered Nurse (LPN/RN) license. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred. Previous supervisory experience is a plus. Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to make sound clinical decisions and manage multiple priorities effectively.
