Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in line with the requirements of the department and the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. Collaborating with medical providers and the care team, you will provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, following established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." You will also act as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organizations vision, mission, and values to ensure an outstanding patient experience and positive clinical outcomes.

What you will do in this role:

  • Inpatient wound care nurse to provide clinical oversight and coordinator for inpatient wound care services and nursing support to the outpatient wound care center when needed. 

  • Also, assist in providing support in decisions regarding cost effective utilization of wound care dressings, and supplies and pressure reduction specialty beds. 

  • Maintains tracking for IP wound care consultation volumes and quality data per hospital standards

  • Consultation, educational support and staff development activities that provide the bedside nurse with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to manage wounds will be critical to the success of the position. 

  • In addition, the wound care nurse may provide consultative and educational services to patients and their family members to assist them in the management of their individual wound care needs. 

  • Serve as liaison to nursing and quality departments in management of IP Wound outcomes.

What qualifications you will need:
  • Active NH Registered Nurse license or compact Registered Nurse license
  • Bachelors Degree in Nursing
  • 2+ years of experience in wound care.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Must have wound care certifications
