Location: Palm Harbor, FL | Onsite Outpatient Role
About the Role
As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or dual-certified FNP/PMHNP, you will play a key role in providing high-quality outpatient psychiatric care to patients in our Palm Harbor clinic. This primarily in-office position allows for strong therapeutic relationships, direct collaboration with our clinical team, and continuity of care within a supportive environment.
Your responsibilities will center on psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, medication management, and integrated behavioral health treatment. You will work closely with therapists, medical providers, and support staff to develop comprehensive plans that address each patient’s mental health needs. After one year of successful onsite practice, you will be eligible to incorporate telehealth into your schedule.
Your work will directly impact patient well-being, treatment outcomes, and the mental health of the community we serve.
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program
Current Florida APRN license (or eligibility to obtain)
Board certification as a PMHNP-BC or dual-certified FNP/PMHNP
Active DEA registration or eligibility
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in outpatient psychiatry, behavioral health, or integrated care
Autonomous Practice encouraged to apply!
Comfort treating a variety of psychiatric diagnoses across the lifespan (or specify population)
Strong therapeutic communication skills
Bilingual proficiency (English + another language)
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, mental status exams, and risk assessments
Diagnose psychiatric conditions and develop individualized treatment plans
Provide medication management, psychoeducation, and supportive counseling
Collaborate with therapists, case managers, and medical staff to coordinate care
Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation
Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and quality-improvement initiatives
Deliver patient-centered care aligned with evidence-based psychiatric practice
Work onsite in our Palm Harbor clinic, with optional telehealth after one year
Skills & Competencies
Strong diagnostic and clinical assessment capabilities
