About the Role

As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or dual-certified FNP/PMHNP, you will play a key role in providing high-quality outpatient psychiatric care to patients in our Palm Harbor clinic. This primarily in-office position allows for strong therapeutic relationships, direct collaboration with our clinical team, and continuity of care within a supportive environment.

Your responsibilities will center on psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, medication management, and integrated behavioral health treatment. You will work closely with therapists, medical providers, and support staff to develop comprehensive plans that address each patient’s mental health needs. After one year of successful onsite practice, you will be eligible to incorporate telehealth into your schedule.

Your work will directly impact patient well-being, treatment outcomes, and the mental health of the community we serve.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program
Current Florida APRN license (or eligibility to obtain)
Board certification as a PMHNP-BC or dual-certified FNP/PMHNP
Active DEA registration or eligibility

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in outpatient psychiatry, behavioral health, or integrated care
Autonomous Practice encouraged to apply!
Comfort treating a variety of psychiatric diagnoses across the lifespan (or specify population)
Strong therapeutic communication skills
Bilingual proficiency (English + another language)

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, mental status exams, and risk assessments
Diagnose psychiatric conditions and develop individualized treatment plans
Provide medication management, psychoeducation, and supportive counseling
Collaborate with therapists, case managers, and medical staff to coordinate care
Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation
Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and quality-improvement initiatives
Deliver patient-centered care aligned with evidence-based psychiatric practice
Work onsite in our Palm Harbor clinic, with optional telehealth after one year

Pass a FIT test and wear the provided respirator mask when protocol requires. Education: Master's Degree level Family Nurse Practitioner program with current National Board Certification and State of Employment license to practice in the Advanced Practice Nurse role Preferred Qualifications: If less than 1 year of work experience as a licensed provider, prior student precepting rotation with MinuteClinic is preferred, but not required. Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: $41.85 - $90.13 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
