LPN School Contract

A licensed practical nurse (LPN/LVN) position is available to provide specialized diabetic care support within a K-12 educational setting located at Nellis Air Force Base, NV. This contract role focuses on delivering essential nursing services to students requiring diabetic management during morning hours.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting blood sugar monitoring and continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) checks for diabetic students
  • Performing diabetic-related procedures as directed by healthcare protocols
  • Collaborating with school staff to ensure student health and safety throughout the school day
  • Documenting and reporting health data accurately to appropriate personnel
  • Contributing to a supportive and healthy learning environment

There are four openings to be filled: one part-time role and three full-time roles, available for the current school year. The primary schedule involves half-day coverage Monday through Thursday in the mornings.

Desired qualifications:

  • Current and valid LPN/LVN licensure
  • Experience with diabetic care, especially blood sugar checks and CGM usage
  • Previous work in school or pediatric nursing is preferred
