Job Overview

Organize and administer individualized age-specific professional patient care to pediatric patients in an outpatient setting of the hospital in support of medical care. Supports the philosophy, objectives and the mission and vision of Saint Barnabas Medical Center and the Department of Nursing. Practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, Department of Health Regulations, JCAHO requirements and other regulatory agencies. Maintains the standards of nursing care as established. Participates in patient teaching and discharge planning. Participates in Unit Performance Improvement evaluation activities. Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient's age-specific needs and provide age-specific treatment and care.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Successful completion of all Orientation Programs

Preferred

  • Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or currently matriculating
  • L&D, Post Partum or ambulatory experience

Certifications And Licenses Required

  • Current Registered Nurse License in the state of New Jersey
