A Registered Nurse is needed to provide dedicated, one-on-one support for an upper elementary student with special needs in a school setting. This full school year contract position is based in Rohnert Park, CA, requiring presence during school hours as well as student transportation to and from school. The role focuses on delivering comprehensive nursing care, including diabetic management, without onsite supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 nursing care and support to an upper elementary student with special needs throughout the school day.
- Assist with transportation to and from school while maintaining continuous health monitoring.
- Administer diabetic care and perform necessary health assessments.
- Collaborate closely with school staff, maintaining professional communication.
- Maintain accurate health records and comply with all district and licensing requirements.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid California RN license.
- Experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations preferred.
- Ability to manage complex medical needs such as diabetes.
- Strong professional independence as no onsite supervision (such as para, RBT, CNA, or LPN) will be provided.
- Reliable and flexible availability to cover scheduled hours Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday (7:45 AM 3:45 PM) and Wednesday (7:45 AM 1:15 PM), totaling approximately 35 hours per week.
