What We Offer:

Flexible Shifts: Choose from 3 to 12-hour shifts per week, available between 7 AM-7 PM or 7 PM-7 AM. Each scheduling period includes 6-night shifts and 6 weekend shifts, with an additional $2.00 per hour for off-shift work.

Generous Sign-On Bonuses: Eligible candidates can receive sign-on bonuses of $15,000 for new graduates and $20,000 for nurses with 1+ years of experience, with a two-year commitment.

Monthly Loan Repayment: Nurses who recently graduated may qualify for up to $20,000 in loan repayment, distributed over three years.

Paid Time Off: Enjoy up to five and a half weeks of PTO annually, plus seven paid holidays.

  • Title and salary will be based on education and nursing experience. As of 2025, the minimum salary for Graduate Nurses (GNs) is $33.75/hour, and $35.50/hour for BSN GNs. GNs must be eligible for State Board Licensure.
  • BSN preferred.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive, caring relationships with executives, managers, physicians, non-physician providers, ancillary and support staff, other departments, and patients/families.
  • Ability to work productively and effectively within a complex environment, handling multiple and changing priorities and specialized equipment.
  • Strong clinical judgment with critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities related to various aspects of patient care.
  • Critical thinking skills necessary to exercise and lead others in the application of the nursing process.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

  • Current Pennsylvania licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Temporary Practice Permit (TPP). Graduate Nurses must complete the licensure examination within 4 months of hire or one year of graduation, whichever comes first. UPMC requires that GNs take the licensure examination within 4 months of their start date, or they may be terminated or demoted from the GN position, at the discretion of the BU.
  • UPMC-approved national certification is preferred.
  • NIH Certification required after hire
  • CPR certification based on AHA standards, including both a didactic and skills demonstration component, within 30 days of hire.
  • Act 33, 34, and 73 clearances with renewal.
