Overview

Join our 24/7 Emergency Department where our nurses work as a team and treat each other and our patients like family. Adult and pediatric hospitalists are available for consultation and patient admissions. Specialty coverage is provided by orthopedics, general surgery, OB/GYN, urology and cardiology. We also have a stroke telehealth program in conjunction with St. Vincent Ascension in Indianapolis. We typically have 21,000+ visits a year with an average of 57 daily visits and six daily admissions. We offer competitive salaries, excellent benefits and flexibility. 

Responsibilities

  • Supervises nursing personnel activities daily and participates in the delivery of general nursing duties. 
  • Administers prescribed medications and treatment following approved nursing procedures and physician order. 
  • Observes patients, records significant conditions and reactions, and notifies supervisor or physician of conditions and significant incidents. 
  • Prepares equipment and aids physician during treatment and examinations of patients. 
  • Assesses patient vital signs to detect deviations from normal and determines patient progress. 
  • Has daily responsibility in areas of personnel assignments, supervises licensed and non-licensed personnel, patient placement, cost containment, patient and family education and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Requires a basic knowledge of pathophysiology, the nursing process, nursing interventions, pharmacology, methods utilized for delivering nursing care and the management of patients and personnel  
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and current Indiana RN licensure required  
  • Work requires the ability to interpret cardiac rhythms which is normally acquired 
  • Requires ACLS, PALS and TNCC to be completed within twelve months of hire date

Registered Nurse - Street Outreach

Overview We are seeking a compassionate and adaptable Registered Nurse to join our Street Outreach Team. This role is part of the HRSA Street Medicine Intervention for people with HIV who are unsheltered, and is designed to bring critical health services directly to people experiencing homelessness and at-risk for HIV and Hepatitis C. The RN Street Outreach Nurse will provide brief health assessments, first aid, and vital signs monitoring in non-traditional settings, while also connecting individuals to ongoing care and resources. Position Overview Grant-Funded Temporary Position Disclaimer: This is a temporary position funded entirely through the HRSA Street Medicine Intervention Program. The grant is scheduled to expire on July 31, 2029, and this position will end on that date. Continued employment is contingent upon the ongoing availability of grant funds. If funding is reduced or discontinued, this position may be subject to reduced hours, reassignment, or termination.
