The Phoenix Center for Rehabilitation & Pediatrics is a skilled nursing facility caring for both the geriatric and pediatric populations. We are currently seeking full time and/or per-diem Pediatric IV Certified Nurses to join our nursing team. 

The Pediatric IV Certified Nurse will be responsible to ensure the safe and effective delivery of IV therapy to our pediatric patients. At the Phoenix Center we maintain the highest standard of care and service for residents, families, and our valued employees. We are teamwork oriented and offer a professional working environment. Responsibilities as an IV Certified Nurse:

  • Performing patient assessments and creating care plans to address individual needs
  • Administering therapeutic intravenous treatments
  • Reviewing laboratory results and correcting abnormalities per facility policy
  • Monitoring for infusion complications and addressing issues with the nursing team
  • Educating residents and their families on proper IV line maintenance
  • Attending infection prevention meetings to advocate for patients and ensure facility practices are up-to-date
  • Maintain confidentiality and rights of residents and family members in compliance with HIPPA policies and applicable regulation
  • Promote and support positive guest relations to all visitors and residents

Requirements for an IV Certified Nurse :

  • RN license
  • Pediatric IV certification required
  • Experience working in an infusion nurse role
  • Strong understanding of infection prevention protocols
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to efficiently manage time and develop a daily schedule to meet patient demands
