Under the general supervision and in collaboration with the Supervising Physician, the Breast Health Nurse Practitioner assesses, diagnoses, and treats patients in general surgery clinic and assists in managing the overall clinic. Responsible to manage a wide range of outpatient duties, as well as emergency situations, while adhering to standard practices and established procedures. This position ensures quality and safe delivery of care to patients of all ages.

- Education
- Completion of a master’s degree in nursing and an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program required.
- Experience
- 3+ years’ experience in general surgery, oncology or related field.
- Licensure and/or Certification
- Current license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Massachusetts required.
- National certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant required (this is required for Massachusetts licensure). (ARNP) or (PA-C)
- BLS healthcare provider required.
- Skills
- Computer skills required (EMR is AthenaFlow/Centricity)
- Understands and is committed to maintaining the highest level of confidential information.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team, in collaborative settings, required.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, on the phone and in person
- Excellent problem-solving skills required, including creativity, resourcefulness, timeliness, and technical knowledge related to analyzing and resolving medical problems.
