Practice Provider – PA/NP
University of Michigan Health-West is seeking a full-time, board eligible/board certified, Psychiatry Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner). Candidate will need to coordinate and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure a positive experience for all patients, families, and staff.

OPPORTUNITY DETAILS:
Ability to work closely with a partnering team of specialists encompassing 37+ specialty care and hospital-based service lines
Provides state-of-the-art empirically grounded psychopharmacological and psychotherapeutic care
UMHW uses a team-based approach to health care and APP’s are critical members of the team
The focus of this position is to provide high-quality care directly to patients both outpatient and inpatient
Performs comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and mental status examination
Orders, conducts, and interprets appropriate diagnostic tests
Health system employed medical group model, offering a highly market competitive compensation plan

REQUIREMENTS:
NP Requirements
Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner specialty certification in the State of Michigan.
Current specialty certification to practice as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in Adult Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing or Family Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing.
Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
Certification as a Nurse Practitioner recognized by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
Current DEA registration required or in process
PA Requirements
Satisfactory completion of a Physician Assistant program accredited by Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) or one of its predecessor agencies, CAHEA or CAAHEP.
Certification by the National Commission on Certification for Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
Current license to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of Michigan.
State of Michigan Controlled Substance License Required
Current DEA registration required or in process
