A full-time Certified School Nurse (CSN) position is available to provide essential healthcare services in a K-12 school district in Aurora, IL. This role requires a dedicated professional with a passion for student health and well-being, playing a vital role as the sole CSN in the district with support from multiple Registered Nurses (RNs).
Key Qualifications:
- Professional Educator’s License in Illinois with Certified School Nurse Endorsement (mandatory)
- Strong background in school nursing and student health care
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with school staff and families
- Experience in K-12 environments preferred
Location: Aurora, IL (K-12 School District)
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary Certified School Nurse, managing all health services and interventions for students from kindergarten through 12th grade
- Provide first aid, emergency care, and preventive health services
- Conduct health assessments and screenings
- Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans for students with chronic conditions
- Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and families to promote student wellness
- Maintain accurate health records and comply with state and local regulations
