Job Summary and Qualifications

What you will do in this role:

Collects and analyzes data in order to identify expected outcomes for the observation and medical/surgical patients
Developing and prioritizes the plan of care to attain measurable goals
Implements the interventions identified and evaluates the results, especially in relation to Critical Care patients (whichever applies).
Identifies educational needs, implements and evaluates learning and documents patient/family education
Demonstrates critical thought and judgment in the delivery of care related to Critical care patients
Delivers medications based upon continual assessment, safety and evaluation of patient response

What qualification you will need:

Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
Bachelors of Science in Nursing is required or must be currently enrolled
Current RN license in Texas and/or current Compact License
1 year current L&D experience required
Current BCLS Certification Required
Current ACLS and NRP Certifications Required
AWHONN Fetal Monitoring course within 90 days of hire date

What You Will Do In Your Role: You will be assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care for patients admitted for procedures one the Endoscopy Unit. You will consistently apply the nursing process, critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, technical skills and leadership to independently deliver safe nursing care to patients. You will collaborate with the patient care team to achieve quality patient outcomes. You will provide communication, confidence, and professionalism as evidenced by active engagement in unit and organizational activities. You will demonstrate team work, adaptability, and serve as a resource to the patient care team. You will have accountability for delivering quality nursing care services and for promoting a positive image of nursing. What qualifications you will need: Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing is required. BSN is preferred. 1 year of experience is an acute Medical/Surgical setting is required. Endoscopy experience is preferred. Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date). Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required. PALS is preferred.
