We are seeking experienced Float Family Nurse Practitioners to provide flexible, coverage across our centers in Tampa, FL.

Day in the Life:

As an Marathon Health provider you practice relationship-based medicine at the top of your license. You offer wholistic care including prevention, chronic disease management and health education to your patients. As a Float Nurse Practitioner we require that you remain a flexible schedule as we expect you to be available to cover shifts for absent teammate members as well as position vacancies, at a moment’s notice. This Float role requires travel as it involves working at various locations when needed; teammates may work within the same state, or in multiple states and therefore being able to adapt to various work settings is a fundamental component of this role. This role requires collaborating with different teams in diverse settings and is expected to ensure continuity of work processes and procedures and ensure consistency with follow-through and/or transitioning tasks when needed.

Minimum Job Requirements for Nurse Practitioner:

Active license & current ANCC or AANP board certification required
Independent practice provider preferred, where applicable per State regulation.
Federal DEA number preferred; may be required for full prescribing ability.
CPR/BLS certification required at time of start date
Independent family practice experience including routine wellness care, chronic care management, and urgent visit, preferred
Comfortable treating ages 2+
DOT Certification Preferred, or willingness to obtain upon hire

This position is a Float role and requires travel to other locations within the state and/or region.

Pay Range: $55.00-72.00/hr

Provide administrative duties to include but not limited to opening/closing the clinic, inventory, patient follow up, verifying insurance and collecting payment, maintaining a clean environment. Be responsible for handling patient appointments and performing routing examinations to ensure positive patient health outcomes Perform duties including speaking with patients about healthy lifestyle choices, completing diagnostic tests to help diagnose and treat patients for injuries or illnesses and coordinating with other healthcare professionals to maintain a comprehensive plan of care Encourage patients to become active participants in their own healthcare and well-being through services such as health screenings, behavioral health and wellness, chronic condition management Required Qualifications: A minimum of one year experience as a Nurse Practitioner is required. Experience in Family medicine or primary care practice preferred. Provide holistic, evidenced-based care inclusive of accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management of health problems, health counseling, and disposition planning for our patients. This includes education and treatment for pregnancy prevention, sexually transmitted infection (STI) Prevention and safer sex practices. Order and administer immunizations and injections (to include but not limited to COVID19, influenza, TB, Depo) and provides evidence-based patient/parent vaccine counseling and education. Minimum of two years of medically relevant experience or equivalent Complete the DOT certification exam within 30 days of employment Depending on the market, the ability to be proficient in both speaking and writing in additional languages not limited to but including Spanish Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, including but not limited to performing CPR and operating an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Pass a FIT test and wear the provided respirator mask when protocol requires. Education: Master's Degree level Family Nurse Practitioner program with current National Board Certification and State of Employment license to practice in the Advanced Practice Nurse role Preferred Qualifications: If less than 1 year of work experience as a licensed provider, prior student precepting rotation with MinuteClinic is preferred, but not required. Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: $41.85 - $90.13 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
