Registered Nurse – Family Practice Details:
Compensation:
Hourly Rate: $40/hr

Monday through Friday, between 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Standard 9-hour shift (includes 1-hour unpaid lunch)
40 hours per week or 80 hours per two-week pay period
May be required to adjust schedule to meet mission needs

Randolph Family Health Clinic – Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA) Randolph, TX
Registered Nurse – Family Practice Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and provide comprehensive patient care in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Perform health assessments, physical exams, and complete medical histories.
• Administer medications, wound care, and other prescribed nursing interventions.
• Deliver preventive health education, promotion, and counseling across all age groups.
• Recognize and respond quickly to adverse signs, symptoms, or emergency situations.
• Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and standards of care within the Military Treatment Facility (MTF).
• Accurately document patient conditions, treatments, education, and follow-up care.
• Direct and supervise care provided by other healthcare professionals based on scope and skill level.
• Support patient referrals and coordination of specialty care services.
• Participate in orientation and training of newly assigned personnel.
• Maintain safe and clean work environments, ensuring proper use, maintenance, and storage of medical equipment.
• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Conduct research and contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Graduate of an accredited college or university recognized by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
Experience:
• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience after graduation.
• At least 24 months of experience within the last 48 months in a primary care clinic setting.
• Demonstrated knowledge and clinical experience in providing care across the lifespan (pediatric, adolescent, adult, obstetric, and geriatric).
• Working knowledge of preventive health schedules, disease management, and population health principles.
• Strong familiarity with the Military Health System (MHS) and TRICARE preferred.
Licensure:
• Current, full, active, and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in any U.S. state or territory.
Certifications:
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Skills:
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and clinical documentation skills.
• Proficiency in electronic medical records and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong ability to assess, prioritize, and manage complex patient care situations.
