• Shift: PM Shift, one weekend a month required

Job Responsibilities As a Nurse Shift Supervisor, you will play a critical role in overseeing the nursing staff and ensuring high-quality patient care. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Patient Care Coordination: Assess patient needs, develop and implement treatment plans, and coordinate with supervising physicians to ensure a smooth recovery process.

• Supervision and Leadership: Supervise nursing staff on your assigned shift, ensuring they are performing their duties in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines. This includes monitoring medication distribution, blood draws, and other essential patient care tasks.

• Staff and Family Education: Provide ongoing education to staff, residents, and their families to promote best practices in healing and wellness.

• Quality Assurance: Conduct regular nursing rounds on all units, track treatments and patient progress, and ensure all documentation is completed accurately and in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.

• Team Collaboration: Work independently and as part of a team to ensure all operational duties are fulfilled, and assist with other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director of Nursing, Director of Nursing, or Administrator.

 

Qualifications

• Experience: A minimum of three years of supervisory experience in a hospital, long-term care, or related facility is required. Prior experience in inpatient and palliative care, as well as managing staff, is preferred.

• Licensure: Must hold an active RN (Registered Nurse) or LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) license in good standing. An RN license is preferred.

• Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and computer skills are essential. You must be able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
