What We're Looking For

Education: High school diploma or GED required.
Experience: One year preferred. Assisted Living facilities only: One year experience working in long-term care or assisted living, required
Licensure/certification/registration: Completion of NAI program required. Listed with the nurse aide registry as an NA I required. Medication Safety - AME required. NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units required.
Additional skills preferred: Basic computer skills for documentation.

The children’s unit is a general pediatric, Progressive Care, and Epilepsy unit. JGCC is home to the regions only dedicated pediatric Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) and is a Level 3 EMU designated by the National Association for Epilepsy Centers. It has also been accredited through The Joint Commission for disease specific certification for Epilepsy. Support services are available to the patients and families we serve with Certified Child Life Specialists throughout the children’s unit and ancillary departments. JGCC is part of Atrium Health Levine Children’s, which includes Levine Children’s Hospital (LCH).
