Baptist MD Anderson is seeking a dedicated Oncology Quality Specialist to join our team at our BMDA Downtown Campus. This is an on-site position, working Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM. This pivotal role supports patient safety and quality improvement efforts across the oncology continuum of care. As a key contributor, you’ll ensure ongoing compliance with national accreditation standards and actively partner with multidisciplinary teams to maintain the highest levels of patient care and safety.

As an Oncology Quality and Compliance Nurse, your responsibilities include:
Supporting patient safety initiatives and quality improvement across the oncology continuum of care.
Ensuring compliance with accreditation standards including CoC, NAPBC, NAPRC, APEx, and FACT.
Collaborating with the Cancer Center Quality and Safety Officer to conduct real-time incident tracking, lead safety huddles, and contribute to root cause analyses.
Driving performance improvement through the monitoring of key hospital-based outcome metrics such as infection rates, readmissions, and treatment-related complications.
Validating and submitting quality metrics in alignment with MD Anderson Cancer Center standards, with expected growth in reporting scope.
Supporting transplant and cellular therapy programs by ensuring adherence to FACT standards related to documentation, consent, product handling, and toxicity monitoring.
Engaging in system-level safety and compliance initiatives in partnership with Risk Management, Infection Prevention, and Accreditation teams.
Contributing to accreditation survey readiness, staff education, and reduction of care variability.
Participating in ongoing quality education using the NAHQ’s 8 Domains of Competency.
