Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Planning, overseeing, and executing nursing services for residents while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. day-to-day nursing activities to guarantee residents receive top-quality care consistently.
  • Collaborating with the Nursing Director to strategize nursing service operations and emergency support provisions for shifts.
  • Coordinating nursing activities in alignment with medical requirements, physician directives, and general care plans.
  • Ensuring adequate relief staff availability before leaving the facility and notifying residents' personal physicians in case of significant changes in their condition or immediate medical care needs.
  • Overseeing patient admissions, transfers, and discharges

Qualifications & Experience Requirements for RN Charge Nurse:

  • Previous Experience as a RN Charge Nurse preferred 
  • Registered Nurse Licensed 
  • Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university; BSN preferred.
  • Current active license in the State of Connecticut as Registered Nurse with at least two years of nursing.
  • Point Click Care software proficiency
