We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at our nursing home in Beacon Rehab and Nursing. As an RN in our facility, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to our elderly residents. Your primary responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to develop individualized care plans and ensure that residents' physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

  2. Medication Management: Administer medications, monitor their effects, and maintain accurate records of medication administration in accordance with state regulations and facility policies.

  3. Wound Care: Provide wound care, dressings, and other treatments as needed, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure effective care.

  4. Health Monitoring: Continuously monitor and record vital signs, assess changes in residents' conditions, and communicate any concerns to the healthcare team.

  5. Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurse aides, and therapists, to provide comprehensive care to residents.

  6. Health Education: Educate residents and their families on health conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies to enhance their overall well-being.

  7. Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to medical emergencies and initiate appropriate interventions, following established protocols.

  8. Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and facility standards.

  9. Compliance: Adhere to state and federal regulations, nursing standards, and best practices to ensure the safety and well-being of residents.

Qualifications:

  • Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Strong clinical and assessment skills.
  • Compassion and empathy for elderly residents.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Knowledge of nursing home regulations and protocols.

Staff Nurse – RN – Behavioral Health Inpatient– Eating Disorder / 2 South – Day/Evenings – Rotating In this role, you will be working on a 17-bed acute psychiatric eating disorder unit, help individuals with eating disorders work toward recovery in a comfortable and supportive environment. This is a mixed gender unit with serving adolescents and adults. The unit features the expertise of faculty members of the two world-renowned academic medical centers and teaching institutions. Patients benefit from the most recent clinical research findings and advances in the treatment of eating disorders such as anorexia and bulimia nervosa. The goal is to help patients achieve and maintain healthy eating habits and a healthy weight. You'll have the opportunity to work & gain experience in Electroconvulsive therapy (ECT). This is a 40 hrs. full time (3x12-hours and additional 8 hours bi-weekly (7:00 am - 11:30 pm) day/evening rotational position, including weekend (Sat + Sun) coverage at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital / Westchester Behavioral Health.
