The Lead CNA is considered a shift lead, providing support and direction to other CNAs and HCAs working, as well as providing direct home care services if needed. This includes providing personal care services and observations. about the client The Lead CNA will also assist with a variety of  administrative duties as determined by the supervisor.

Primary Responsibilities:

·       Team Building: support, and assist with training caregivers in the field. This position is hybrid in the office and patient’s homes.

·       Oversight of other caregivers: Assist in orienting caregivers to new and existing clients. Validate they are providing appropriate hands on client care. Clarify the client's plan of care and updates. Provide shift coverage as needed due to call outs or no shows. 

·       Assist with administrative tasks, record keeping, and documentation.

·       Foster a high-performing culture of excellence that drives employee engagement and provides exceptional, reliable, safe, high-quality patient care.

·       Perform other job-related duties as needed.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

·       Ability to provide all aspects of personal care to older adults at all functional levels.

·       Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

·       Ability to schedule tasks effectively to meet strict deadlines and within allotted time frame.

·       Ability to read, write and communicate in English.

·       Ability to pass DSHS and State background check, required by WA state law. 

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent

  • Certified Nursing Assistant or Home Care Aide Certification required 

  • Nurse Delegation certificate preferred

  • Fundamentals of Caregiving or Modified Fundamentals of Caregiving required

  • Caregiver Mental Health and Dementia preferred

  • Maintains required 12 hours of CE needed for CNA or HCA certificate annually 

  • Has worked in Home Health, Skilled Nursing Facility or other long term care setting for 2 or more years.

  • Knowledge or skill in working with older adults and adults with memory impairment.

     

  • Valid Driver’s license, Reliable Transportation, Auto Insurance required 

 

Compensation Range: Starting at $23.50 -$24.50 per hour
