Elderwood Staffing Solutions (ESS) is looking to hire experienced and flexible Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our elite clinical network in our per diem pool!

ESS Requirements:

  • Current NYS License/Certificate
  • Clinical Staff must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience to be eligible for employment.
  • Scheduling Requirements: 4 shifts monthly, out of 4 shifts at least 2 worked on weekend shifts (Saturday or Sunday), & 2 major holidays per year.

Responsibilities

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Duties: 

  • Direct and monitor the personal care duties carried out by Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) of an assigned team.
  • Report to nurse on duty unusual symptoms, daily needs and progress of residents.
  • Notify nurse on duty of changes in residents’ conditions or needs
  • Follow the Profile of Care for each resident and monitor the performance of the Nursing Assistants (CNA) in carrying out the appropriate aspects of the care plan.
  • Responsible for responding immediately to residents’ requests.
  • Assist residents with the following Activities of Daily Living (ADL), according to their plan of care and individual needs.
  • Required to float to at-least 2 of our locations of your choice

Qualifications

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Qualifications: 

  • Sixteen (16) years of age required; high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Registration in the State Nurse Aide Registry (CNA) is required. Active on the State Nursing Aide Registry with no findings or convictions of resident abuse, mistreatment or misappropriation of property.
  • 2 years of working experience with your active State Nurse Aide Registry (CNA) required. 
  • Training and CNA work experience in a geriatric setting preferred.
  • Ability to supervise and work well with other personnel
  • Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing
  • Caring and respectful attitude towards residents
  • Physical stamina for constant activity required.
  • Ability to perform tasks to established standards of excellence required.
  • This position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors. In order to ensure a safe work environment for residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors of the Company, and to permit unfettered communication between the employee and those residents, coworkers, visitors, and supervisors, this position requires that the employee be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level.
