Circulating Nurse Duties:
- Prepares the OR for procedures, ensuring all equipment and supplies are available.
- Monitors patient safety and comfort throughout the procedure.
- Documents intraoperative care and communicates with the surgical team.
Scrub Nurse Duties (if applicable):
- Assists the surgeon directly by handling instruments and maintaining a sterile field.
Pre- and Post-Operative Care:
- Participates in patient admission and discharge processes.
- Provides education and emotional support to patients and families.
Clinical Excellence:
- Demonstrates competence in managing patients with complex surgical needs.
- Contributes to quality improvement initiatives and unit goals.
Team Collaboration:
- Works closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participates in staff training and continuing education

Work Environment

Schedule: Monday–Friday, daytime hours.
Setting: Outpatient, same-day surgery center.
Specialties: May include ENT, general surgery, podiatry, pain management, colorectal, and urology.

Qualifications

Active RN license.
Minimum of one year of OR experience; ASC experience preferred.
BLS/ACLS certification.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
