Physicians of general gastroenterology have broad interests in gastrointestinal diseases and expertise to evaluate and manage challenging diagnostic cases. Patients may be referred to general gastroenterology with gastrointestinal symptoms that are not initially clearly related to a particular GI subspecialty.  As a Medical Assistant on this team, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and supportive environment for patients, families, and visitors. You’ll work collaboratively with fellow staff to support medication management, patient monitoring, and a variety of administrative and clinical tasks. This position offersa unique opportunity to broaden their clinical experience by engaging in a wide range of responsibilities across patient care, compliance, and coordination with interdisciplinary teams. The role provides hands-on exposure to multiple facets of healthcare, making it an excellent opportunity for those looking to deepen their knowledge and skills. A caregiver in this role will work 8:00am to 4:30pm.

Physical Requirements:

• Requires full body motion to move and lift patients, manual finger dexterity with good hand-eye coordination, involves extensive standing walking and occasional lifting.
• Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
• Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours.
• Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids.
• Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
