Job Summary and Qualifications

As a highly-skilled and compassionate Cath-Lab Nurse you will provide assistance with all invasive cardiac, vascular and interventional procedures. You will demonstrate clinical competency, nursing judgment, teaching skills, and a commitment to providing quality patient care. You will be part of a team that pulls together to provide a quality patient care experience. We are seeking passionate individuals who are ready to take their career to the next level!

In this role:

You will be responsible for all testing and therapeutics that takes place in the cath lab. These procedures include but are not limited to: cardiac catheterizations, pacemaker procedures, tilt-table procedures, angioplasty, stent procedures, dialysis catheter procedures, nephrostomy and ureteral tube procedures, IVC filter procedures, IABP, pericardiocentesis procedures, and stress testing procedures.
You will facilitate effective communication among departmental staff to ensure interdisciplinary and collaborative approach to patient care. Uses appropriate SBAR process for hand-off communication.
You will assist the patient through all aspects of the procedure, including transport, site preparation, sterile procedure, patient monitoring, and hemostasis following removal of catheter or sheath, and return to room. Manages emergent cases.
You will maintain accurate, timely and compliant patient records. Completes all paperwork associated with these procedures and prepares tests for physician interpretation.
You will demonstrate an ability to be flexible, organized and function well under stressful situations.
You will collaborate with fellow members of the team and orient and needed.

What qualifications you will need:

Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Qualifications: Current State of Utah Registered Nurse license or RN Compact license Associate Degree in Nursing required, BSN preferred. Current American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification. You will work to provide patients with an individualized care plan through assessment and planning. In this role: You will provide assessment and planning for individualized patient care. You will respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment . You will communicate effectively with physicians regarding patient’s clinical condition including: fetal monitoring and results of diagnostic studies. You will perform nursing duties as needed in the continuum of care for all areas of Maternal Child health. You will demonstrate an ability to assist physicians with procedures in Postpartum care and the Newborn Nursery. You will participate in process improvement efforts and activities for the department. You will act in a composed and professional manner, especially under pressure. What qualifications you will need: Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 7 days of employment start date Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date· S.T.A.B.L.E. certification – must obtain within 90 days of hire and then maintain certification.
