Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who embodies our core values to join our team of mental health professionals. As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality psychiatric care to our patients, collaborating with our team of psychiatrists, therapists, and support staff. This is an on-site, contracted role where you will be responsible for delivering direct patient care at our center.

Responsibilities:

  • Create a positive and supportive environment for our patients, fostering their emotional well-being.
  • Conduct psychiatric assessments, evaluations, and diagnosis of mental health disorders with the highest level of clinical expertise.
  • Provide focused and individualized care to each patient, addressing their unique needs and concerns.
  • Show empathy and compassion in your interactions with individuals experiencing mental health challenges.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the patient and the treatment team.
  • Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications as needed, ensuring patient safety and compliance.
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of patients through regular follow-up appointments.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support to patients in distress.
  • Collaborate closely with our team of mental health professionals.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) for all patient interactions.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and stay current with best practices and emerging trends in psychiatry.

    Qualifications:
  • Master's degree or higher in psychiatric nursing or physician assistant studies.
  • Current and active NJ state licensure and certification as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. As well active DEA licensure.
  • Experience in providing psychiatric care and managing psychotropic medications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassion and empathy in working with individuals experiencing mental health challenges.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical and legal standards.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems. Charms EHR experience is a plus.
