Essential Duties and Responsibilities

In this role you will be:

Participating in teaching and rehabilitation of the patient.
Observing, evaluating, recording, and contributing information to aid the RN/GN in the development of the patient plan of care based on age-specific criteria
Performing sterile technique and principles of asepsis
Using basic knowledge of IV Line tubing and changes, peripheral site inspection and care (including dressing changes)
Administering piggyback medications and normal saline flushes
Utilizing hospital computer system
Providing patient and family education
Using nursing knowledge of medical, surgical, and behavioral health nursing to effectively provide direct patient care and observe and document outcomes

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited LPN program
EXPERIENCE:
- 2 years of outpatient experience preferred
- Current IV skills/Phlebotomy skills required
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
- Current license as an LPN in Pennsylvania
- BLS certification required or obtained within 1 month of hire
