The BridgeWay is currently seeking a dynamic nursing professional to join our team. Position Purpose:The ECT Registered Nurse is a proficient nursing leader and integral member of the multidisciplinary team who has developed expertise in an expanded RN role within a specific unit/shift setting, to include Electroconvulsive Therapy. The Nurse is responsible for the routine functioning of the unit on his/her assigned shift. As a Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and coordinating patient care during the ECT procedure process. The Registered Nurse is responsible for assisting with the achievement of patient outcomes in accordance with the mission of the hospital.


Qualifications

Licenses or Certifications: Current nursing licensure in the state of Arkansas. Current CPR, ACLS and Handle With Care certifications, or must obtain within 2-weeks of hire.

Total education, vocational training and experience: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Working knowledge of psychiatric nursing modalities preferred.

Documented experience working with children (ages 5-12), adolescents (ages 13-18), and/or adults (ages 18 plus) preferred.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 1. Effective oral and written communication skills and knowledge of telephone etiquette is required. 2. Ability to interact in a positive manner and to communicate well with patients, families, co-workers, supervisor and other hospital employees. 3. Ability to provide direction, support, and supervision. 4. Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. 5. Ability to adapt to changes in how information is processed.

RN, Weekend Option- Emergency Department

Overview The Emergency Department (ED) Registered Nurse (RN) will work with a team of physicians, other nurses, patient care techs, and other professionals from various departments of the hospital such as Laboratory, Radiology, and Respiratory Therapy. CRHS ED is a certified Level III Trauma Center, AR SAVES spoke site and receiving site, and a designated Arkansas Stroke Ready Hospital (ArSRH). The ED RN is part of a team that provides care for traumatically injured patients, and critically ill patients suffering from life threatening conditions such as Heart Attack or Stroke. The ED RN works alongside the team with the common goal of providing compassionate, quality care to a diverse patient population ranging from neonates to geriatrics within a fast paced environment. The ED RN will assess and monitor a wide array of health conditions and injuries, administer medications, and perform procedures such as moderate sedation, intraosseous and intravascular therapy, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation. The ED RN must have a mind that is always assessing and triaging patient complaints and conditions with efficiency and accuracy. The ED RN must be skilled in maintaining proper lines of communication with the health care team, patients, and families. The ED RN will routinely evaluate episodic and acute responses to broad classifications of physical and psychosocial conditions, as well as manage the planning and implementation of interventions. RN- Short Stay Outpatient Unit

Overview The Short Stay Outpatient Unit (SSOU) is a fast paced environment where multidisciplinary services are provided for patients needing a vast variety of treatments. This unit’s normal hours of operation are Monday – Friday day shift, but coverage is also provided on weekend day shifts on an as needed basis. Treatments are provided to patients with a variety of needs and who are sent by physicians from numerous disciplines including but not limited to Primary Care, Hematology, Oncology, Rheumatology, Gastroenterology, and Obstetrics. The SSOU Registered Nurse (RN) will provide treatments to include but not limited to the administration of chemotherapies and biotherapies, blood products, ESAs, IV antibiotics, iron, and hydration. The SSOU RN routinely performs therapeutic phlebotomies, CVL care, and wound dressing changes. SSOU RNs are highly autonomous and work in a team nursing environment. All RNs are expected to become chemotherapy certified within a year of employment and to consider national certification if not already certified. The RN will utilize the nursing process in the provision of care and will practice within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act of the State of Arkansas and the policies, procedures and standards of the Health System.
