Part Time Night Shift LPN

Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides basic nursing care to residents under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) or physician. The LPN is responsible for monitoring patients’ health, administering medications, providing wound care, documenting changes, and ensuring residents receive compassionate, high-quality care in accordance with nursing home policies and state regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor residents’ vital signs and general health condition

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed

• Provide wound care and assist with personal hygiene tasks

• Observe and report any changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition

• Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation and medical records

• Collaborate with RNs, CNAs, physicians, and family members on patient care plans

• Support and supervise Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs)

• Follow infection control, safety, and HIPAA protocols

• Assist during emergency situations and respond to resident calls promptly

• Participate in care plan meetings and resident assessments

• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Licensure: Valid and active LPN license in Ohio

• Experience: Prior experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing preferred

• CPR Certification: Required

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Compassionate, patient, and respectful of elderly residents

Physical Requirements:

• Able to stand, walk, bend, lift (up to 50 lbs), and assist with transfers

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent resident interaction
