JOB SUMMARY

The Medical Assistant functions as an important member of the healthcare team by providing basic clinical, clerical, and technical support under the delegation and supervision of a licensed provider. The Medical Assistant assists providers in planning for patients’ care, comfort, and safety, and performs in a manner consistent with Marshfield Clinic’s mission, policies, and initiatives while maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Minimum Required: One of the following:

Graduate of a Medical Assistant program
OR
Documented successful completion of the following courses (or their recognized course equivalent):
Medical Terminology (from an accredited institution or completed online through Universal Class)
Anatomy & Physiology or Body Structure & Function or Human Body in Health & Disease (from an accredited institution or online through Universal Class)
Pharmacology (from an accredited institution)

Candidates may also qualify through at least two years of direct healthcare-related work experience in roles such as, but not limited to:
