Duties

  • Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation, light housekeeping.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
  • Help with mobility and transportation as needed, including heavy lifting when assisting clients.
  • Implement care plans tailored to individual client needs, ensuring adherence to prescribed routines.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the client's living space to promote a safe environment.
  • Monitor and document changes in client conditions or behaviors, reporting any concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Administer first aid as necessary and assist with medication reminders under supervision.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in senior care or caregiving is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of patient care practices, including first aid and basic nursing skills.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility challenges.
  • Familiarity with care plans and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Strong communication skills and a compassionate demeanor towards clients.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team within a client home or similar environment.
  • A commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in all caregiving tasks.
