UPMC McKeesport is hiring a Part-Time Staff Nurse to support the 4M General Surgery Unit. The 4M Unit has a large focus on teamwork and collaboration and is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of their patients! This part-time position will work 2, 12-hour shifts per week; some weekends and holidays are required.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

  • Current Pennsylvania licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Temporary Practice Permit (TPP). Graduate Nurses must complete the licensure examination within 4 months of hire or within one year of graduation- whichever comes first. UPMC requires that GNs take the licensure examination within 4 months of their start date, or they will be terminated or demoted from the GN position, at the discretion of the BU.
  • UPMC-approved national certification is preferred.
  • NIH Certification will be required within 6 months of hire.
  • CPR is required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
  • Act 34 and 73 with renewal.
