Summary

As a formal clinical leader, the Director of Nursing – Service Line, is responsible for driving excellence in clinical operations and ensuring optimal patient outcomes at across the Rush Medical Group (RMG) Service Line. This pivotal role involves developing and implementing population-specific innovative clinical strategies, fostering a culture of patient-centered care, and leading quality improvement initiatives. The Director of Nursing – Service Line will work closely with the Service Line leadership team and hospital operations leadership teams to shape the future of healthcare, ensuring that RMG remains at the forefront of clinical excellence. This role is responsible for improving patient outcomes across the care continuum.

The position will be based out of Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL. It is part of a matrix reporting structure and reports to the Service Line Leader or Department Leader and Associate Vice President, Ambulatory Nursing, RMG.

Formal rounding, which includes travel to each site across the service line, is required.

Job Requirements

  • Current State of Illinois registered nurse license.
  • Indiana or Rregistered nurse license within 6 months of hire. in the state that you work in.
  • Master’s degree or higher; if master’s degree is not in nursing, then must have a bachelor’s degree in nursing.
  • American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) specialty certification within twelve (12) months of hire if not present at the time of hire.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of registered nurse experience with at least two (2) years of ambulatory experience.
