  • Graduate from an approved school of professional nursing and currently licensed to practice as a registered nurse in the state of agency operation.
  • One (1) year experience as a RN.

Required Certifications and Licensures:

  • Licensed to practice as a registered nurse in the state of agency operation.
  • Must possess and maintain valid CPR certification while employed in a clinical role.
  • Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements and is in good working order. Ability to travel to all business locations.

Overview The Float Director of Nursing (DON) functions in the full capacity of a community clinical leader and is responsible for leading, delegating, planning, organizing, staffing, directing, analyzing and evaluating the nursing services of an assigned housing/assisted living community. The Float DON is responsible for supervising assigned nursing and ancillary departments to ensure services that meet practice and quality standards. Ensure Benedictine policy, procedures and programs are implemented and followed. May be assigned roles with varying levels of leadership within housing/assisted living facilities. This position may require extended travel and may require additional hours of work on evenings and weekends outside of their normal schedule. This position may be temporarily assigned to any Benedictine community in the states that Benedictine serves. Responsibilities KEY RESULT AREAS/Essential Functions of the Job Provides administrative, clinical leadership and delegation of tasks for nursing staff to promote the delivery of quality care. Maintains knowledge base of current standards of nursing practices, and implements Benedictine nursing policies, procedures and programs.
