The Manager, Clinical RN maintains 24/7 overall responsibility for coordinating the total management of the designated Nursing neighborhood.  This management includes, but is not limited to, health care services, financial security, supervising, CQI opportunities and regulatory compliance. Responsible for creating a balance between an efficient health care department and a home-like environment.


Qualifications

Clinical RN Manager qualifications include:

  • Graduated from an accredited school of Nursing and must possess a current Registered Nurse license, in good standing, from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. 
  • BSN or Bachelor’s Degree related to healthcare administration preferred. 
  • A minimum of three years of recent clinical experience required, two years within the long term care setting preferred. 
  • Minimum two years supervisory experience required.

Training may be in-house or outside seminars. Evidence of orientation and training will become part of the personnel file. IV. Accountability Reports directly to the Director of Nursing and/or Executive Director. The Registered Nurse Case Manager will work under the direction of the Director of Nursing. V. On Call The Hospice Nurse will be on call according to scheduling. During the hours when on call, the Visit Nurse is expected to follow On Call Protocol and to respond to all pages within 20 minutes.
