Baptist Health is looking for a Medical Assistant II for the Baptist Neurosurgery office at Baptist Jacksonville. This is a Full-Time Days opportunity Monday-Friday 8-5.

This candidate’s responsibilities will include assisting one provider with medical assistant tasks. The candidate will cross train and must have good customer service skills. Neurosurgery experience is not necessary but candidate must be trainable. This office is high volume and high profile which means you will never be bored! This team is very enthusiastic and welcoming. Several team members have been with the practice for an extensive period of time and everyone is very helpful towards each other! The job is also very rewarding!

As a Medical Assistant II, you will be responsible for:

- Provides nursing assistance to physicians
- Obtains vital signs
- Greets and chaperones patients during medical visit
- Telephone triage
- Patient education
- Maintains medical documentation
- Schedules care, treatment, diagnostic tests per physician
- Processes CLIA waived tests, prescription requests and referrals
- Cross train in front office, referrals and other areas (E.G.FP and Peds)
