We are looking for a Lead Surgical Technologist to support our Main Operating Room Orthopedic Focus at Baptist Medical Center Downtown. This Lead Surgical Technologist position will be a full-time days position.

As a Lead Surgical Technologist for the Main OR, your responsibilities include:

Assembling, organizing and maintaining a sterile field for operative procedures
Anticipates needs of the surgeon and progression of the case and prepares accordingly
Proper disposition of specimens and instruments
Works with entire surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and promote patient safety
Acts as resource for new Surgical Techs
Graduation from an Accredited Surgical Technologist CAAHEP or ABHES Program
OR - Previous experience working in an Operating Room (OR) setting
Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) from NBSTA or NCCT required
