Under the supervision and guidance of the director of focal therapy the Registered Nurse is responsible for providing direct nursing care by applying clinical nursing knowledge and skills, and for ensuring the safety and comfort of patients and families according to legal, organizational and professional standards. The RN must have the ability to triage and evaluate patients with health complaints under the direct supervision of the Physician.

Minimum Qualifications

Education
- Graduate of professional accredited nursing school required.
Experience
- Previous internal medicine preferred
Licensure and/or Certification
- Currently licensed to practice professional nursing in Massachusetts required.
- BLS healthcare provider required.

Job Description: As an RN in Endoscopy, you will assume responsibility to lead the Endoscopy patient care team in providing quality patient care. Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates patient care from admission to discharge. Assists the physician with diagnostic/therapeutic endoscopic procedures and monitors the physiological status of the patient throughout the pre, intra and post-procedure periods. Maintains departmental on-call responsibilities during off-shifts, weekends and holidays, on a rotating basis. Is able to effectively manage the team work concept and remains flexible in response to changes. Schedule: 36 hours a week, Full-time day shift, Monday-Friday. On-call is required. The average amount of on-call is 4-5 shifts per month. Weekday hours will be either 5:30 pm-11 pm or 11pm-6 am and weekend and holidays are 7am-7 pm or 7 pm-7 am. You are paid an hourly on-call rate, and if called in, you will be paid time and a half.
