Job Summary and Qualifications

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) delivers high quality, patient-centered care and coordinates all functions in the unit. In partnership with the management team, the CNC monitors and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies. The CNC serves as a resource for staff and supports an unparalleled patient experience.

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures and delivers high quality, patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift. In collaboration with other members of the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures, serves as a resource person for staff, and models a commitment to the organization’s vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.

What you will do in this role:

Partner with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver high quality, patient-centered care.
Assist with admission and discharge processes.
Partner with subject matter experts and leadership team to support improved outcomes and service.
Provide coaching, feedback, and training to improve performance and engagement.
Assist with staff scheduling.

Neonatal ICU RNs c are for premature babies or babies who develop medical complications during or after delivery and require a higher level of specialized care than a typical hospital nursery. What you will do in this role: You will perform comprehensive nursing assessments regarding the health status of the patient , following standards of care and disease specific protocols. You will plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources. You will provide direct nursing care and supervise non-licensed nursing staff within the RN’s scope of practice and in accordance with established policies. You will provide education and emotional support to premature infants through 2 years of age , culture, condition, and circumstance and incorporate patient /family teaching into all aspects of nursing practice. What qualifications you will need: At least 1 year of RN NICU experience is required Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date NTD Cardiac Stable Module must be obtained within 18 months of employment start date STABLE must be obtained within 18 months of employment start date Registered Nurse in the state of Texas or compact state license Associate Degree in Nursing Bachelors Degree must be obtained within 2 years of employment start date Neonate Resuscitate, or Neonatal Resuscitation Program must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date Medical City McKinney opened its doors more than 90 years ago.
