Schedule: Monday – Friday, Day Shift 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Position Summary:
The RN Supervisor for Urgent Care reflects the mission, vision, and values of Indiana University Health. This leadership role oversees daily operations across multiple urgent care locations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based patient care. The RN Supervisor is responsible for clinical oversight, personnel management, resource allocation, and ensuring compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. This position also supports problem-solving and facilitates efficient clinic operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, management, and oversight of nursing practice and clinical care delivery across assigned urgent care sites.
- Coordinate staffing, supplies, and resources to ensure optimal patient care and operational efficiency.
- Supervise clinical staff, including scheduling, performance management, and professional development.
- Ensure clinical staff adhere to established standards, policies, and procedures, including the ANA Scope and Standards of Professional Nursing and the Code of Ethics.
- Facilitate effective communication among clinical team members and other departments.
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Assist in problem-solving and addressing operational or clinical issues as they arise.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards.
Qualifications:
- Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
- Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
- Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN).
- Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
- Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
- Two years experience preferred.
- Knowledge of procedures for performing the functions appropriate to the specific clinical area and familiarity with designated pieces of equipment and supplies.
- Requires ability to coordinate a number of functions for a group of patients in an effective timely manner.
- Requires awareness and understanding of legal implications of patient care activities and performance as a Registered Nurse.
