Overview of Position:


The LPN administers skilled direct and indirect patient care to an assigned group of patients according to the patient’s plan of care under the direction of the physician or advanced practice provider. The position is required to adhere to universal precautions and is compliant with infection control policies. This incumbent carries out job requirements as delegated by and with the supervision of a physician, advanced practice provider, or registered nurse.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES


1   Provides patient care, under the direction of a physician, in a warm and friendly manner.

2   Accurately takes and records measurements or readings.

3   Administers prescribed medications.

4   Works collaboratively with other caregivers in the office.

5   Performs practice Based Procedures 

6   Scribing for physicians and/or advanced practice providers

QUALIFICATIONS


1.   One year previous experience.

2.   Current Ohio LPN license.

3.   Current CPR Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of orientation.

4.   Completion of an approved pharmacology course.

5.   Ability to communicate effectively in an oral and written manner, as well as the ability to observe, assess, guide, and evaluate others

6.   Ability to collect data, interpret findings, set priorities and carry out established plan

7.   Ability to read, calculate, and prepare medication, as well as the ability to observe and analyze any resulting reactions and to apply clinical knowledge.
