Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY:

Provides safe, competent patient-centered care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. The nursing assistant provides care under the direction of the registered nurse. Participates as an active member of the Nursing Team on the assigned unit/department. Supports an organizational culture for Service Excellence and practices the Service Excellence Standards to all customer groups.


Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

Prefer experience in an acute care setting.

EDUCATION / LICENSURE:
High School diploma, GED or Higher Education preferred.
Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
3.      Must possess one of the following:

•           CNA certificate and/or a certificate of completion of a CNA program and/or PCT certificate

•           Medical Assistant certificate and/or a certificate of a MA program

•           Current enrollment in an LVN, ADN or BSN accredited school of nursing with successful

            Completion of first semester at a minimum         

4.      BLS upon hire and remain current thereafter

5.      De-escalation class within first year of hire as required by site based on specialty unit and job function

6.       Must be > 18 years of age by the date of hire
