Summary

The Registered Nurse - Long Term Care role provides high quality resident patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient outcomes. Collaborates, delegates, and communicates with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal care.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs)

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
  • License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
  • Experience: One year of RN or LPN experience preferred.

The desired Registered Nurses for this position will have 2+ years of clinical experience preferably in a hospital setting. Although not required, OCN certification and oncology experience are a plus. This position requires the flexibility to occasionally float between our 4 locations (Scarborough, South Portland,Biddefordand Sanford, Maine) from the home base. Offices are open Monday-Friday from 7:45 am-4:30 pm. There is a weekend rotation with each RN covering Saturday and Sunday about every 2 months. The Patient Navigator will understand the clinical pathways established by the Oncology Program and will direct the patients to health care services within the organization, at outside facilities, and within the community for timely diagnosis, treatment and survivorship.
