Job Summary and Qualifications

The Surgical Technologist (CST), under the direction and supervision of the RN, and Surgical Services Manager, assists in the performance of a variety of both invasive and non–invasive operative procedures. Technical responsibilities include functioning in the role of Surgical Technologist for surgical procedures, and the knowledge of aseptic technique needed to carry out the procedure. The CST maintains surgical equipment in good working order and maintains adequate stocking of surgical supplies and related equipment. Other responsibilities include, maintaining appropriate aseptic technique in cleaning the rooms and/or necessary supplies.

What qualifications you will need:

· Graduated from an accredited Surgical Technologist program

· BLS approved per policy

· Certified Surgical Technologist

· Minimum of 1 year of experience preferred.
